It’s finally coming. Daylight Savings time gets us ready for the warm weather and being able to be outside. I like that it stays light until later at night in the summer, it makes it more fun when you go to Fridays After Five and it’s still light outside. The Charlottesville City Market will start April 5th, less than a month away.
The Market is a great way to start a Saturday morning, it runs from 7-12. The market has fresh vegetables, cheese, pastries, coffee, spices, and jewelery. Last year my sister and I bought 8 tomato plants and 2 peppers for our garden. It was a lot of fun, I have never had a garden. I’m not very good with plants, somehow I always manage to kill the plants I have inside. This was different having a garden outside that we could watch grow. The 8 plants grew more tomatoes than we could eat. We had to give tomatoes away to our friends. I think they were the best tomatoes I’ve ever eaten…probably because we grew them ourselves.
