Right now Century 21 is having a contest for agents that will allow them to post their videos on YouTube on the housing industry’s first branded youtube channel.  The channel will be geared toward agents and consumers.  The video should be 60 seconds and include the Realtor and home seller, the closing should be 15 seconds from the Realtor.  First prize for the contest is $21,000 and 2 HD TVs.

I don’t think that a virtual tour on YouTube will boost your home sale chances, but that’s just my opinion.  The new videos show a walk through and includes the Realtor selling the home.  It seems really cheesy.  It could be a neat feature if agents did a walk through of a house and linked it to their website without the Realtor in the picture.  I didn’t get anything out of watching the man walk through and point out the bathroom.  Sure, when you look at a house the Realtor makes small talk, but it is very unneccessary when viewing the video online.  What do you think?  Would you call this Realtor for a viewing of the home?  Do you think videos of the home would be a selling point?  Would you prefer the video with or without the Realtor?
