Vinegar Hill- Discussion with a Writer

March 18th 2008 by Kelly in Charlottesville, Local Event

barlow.JPGBarlow Jacobs, writer, actor and producer of Zack Godshall’s Low and Behold will lead a discussion after a screening of the newly released film. The viewing will be at 7 at the Vinegar Hill Theater on Monday March 24th. One of the first films that showcased Barlow Jacobs was Monkey Bars where he played the part of a delusional petting zoo instructor. Low and Behold is one of Barlow’s most recent roles and is a film about an insurance adjuster who goes to New Orleans after Katrina’s devastation. The film premiered at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival. Do you think that they gave an accurate picture of the way things were in New Orleans after Katrina(the film was produced on site in New Orleans)? Would you recommend the film?
