UVA Grads Stay in Charlottesville
March 24th 2008 by Kelly in UVA
NBC29 reported that as much as 10% of UVA grads stay in Charlottesville after graduation. Their reasons for staying don’t seem that different than mine: the mountains, James River, concert venues, etc. In an interview by NBC 29 Kyle Matous said “There aren’t a whole lot of people who go to UVA and don’t like it, so for some of us, it’s just hard to leave.” Employers seem to feel the same way. Kyle works for Rimm-Kaufman, an internet maketing company who has the opinion that employers also benefit from graduates sticking around Charlottesville. It makes sense to me that employers would make an effort to hire graduates because they are ambitious and could help the company expand.
Do you think it’s a good idea to hire recent graduates?
What is your reason for choosing Charlottesville?
