2008 Festival of the Book

book.gifToday marks the beginning of the Festival of the Book. This is the 13th annual Festival and will be going on today through the 30th. Tickets can be bought at the Paramount downtown or by phone (434-979-1333) or online. The festival is to promote reading and literacy and most of the events are free and open to the public. Additional breakfast and luncheon tickets with authors are available, but upon visiting the website tickets were sold out or close to selling out. The schedule is packed with interesting and different book discussions. The lectures will take place on the UVA campus and downtown mall, the website has a full schedule of events.
