Disappointing 85-88 Loss to Old Dominion

The UVA Women’s basketball season has come to a close in the second round of NCAA tournament. Old Dominion was beating UVA by double digits but, UVA was able to catch up at the end of the first half. Old Dominion eventually broke away and had another big lead in the second half. It was an exciting game because in the last 1.8 seconds Aisha Mohammed scored and was fouled and sent the team into overtime when she made the foul shot. It was disappointing in overtime when ODU pulled ahead with 35 seconds to go and Lyndra Littles’ shot fell short of the basket in the final seconds. Even though the team lost there were still several players that had high scoring games. I would’ve liked to see the game in person, the teams seemed so evenly matched throughout the game.
