PBR at the JPJ

pbr.jpgI decided to get a group together to go to the Professional Bull Riding at the JPJ on Saturday. Tickets were expensive for $40, but if you had a group of at least 10 the prices went down to $10. We had a group of 17 and had a great time. I couldn’t believe how crowded it was. The JPJ does a really good job of transforming the arena for whichever event they are hosting. They covered the majority of the floor with dirt and had set up a whole configuration like a barn for the bulls that were waiting. It looked just like an outdoor rodeo. There was a lot of excitement as some riders were able to stay on the full 8 seconds and some fell off and were stomped on by the 2,000 pound animals. I understand now why bull riding is one of the most dangerous sports. One cowboy was taken off on a stretcher.

Do you think the majority of these riders do the competitions as a full time job? cowboy.jpg
