Get Involved with Charlottesville through the Piedmont Area Preservation Alliance
April 8th 2008 by Kelly in Charlottesville, CurbPlacesThe Piedmont Area Preservation Alliance meets twice a year to discuss ways to sustain the cultural and ecological resources of Central Virginia. The group comes up with plans of action to enable campaigns for core preservation and conservation issues in Charlottesville. Right now the group has put together a Steering Committee to plan for Preservation Week 2009 where the group has planned new events to give tours of historic homes, give workshops on preservation and conservation, and lead an anti-tour of Vinegar Hill because of the community that was lost there due to urban renewal. Anyone can be a part of the Steering Committee in planing for Preservation Week. The monthly meeting will take place April 18th at 8:00 am at the Blue Moon Diner.
