Living at The Marriot Is Expensive

The C-ville weekly reported this week that a family has been living in the Residence in on Millmont Street since August of 2006, but have not been paying for the rooms since November of 2007. The Mariott is suing the family, Terrance MacDonald, for 22,369.73(and counting), for the lost revenue of the rooms. The family is occupying two rooms at the hotel that cost $149 per night, the Mariott is only making the family pay $109 per night for the rooms because of their extended stay. I think the Residence Inn should have made the family get out of the rooms a long time ago if they haven’t been paying since November. The family feels like they have paid enough to continue living at the hotel without paying any more. What do you think? Is it the hotel’s fault for letting the family live at the Hotel for so long?
