Delfosse has a new event on Friday nights. Instead of coming downtown on Friday night for Fridays after Five, Delfosse is now open from 5-8pm for wine on their patio. If you would like to stay away from Foxfild they also have the Spring barrel tasting on Saturday from 11am-4. Tasters will get to sample wine still in the barrel from 2007 prior to being bottled. Reservations are required for the Barrel tasting and tickets are $15. Reservations can be made online. 434-263-6100
Delfosse is also participating in the Graves Mountain Spring Fling on Saturday and Sunday if you feel like going on a little drive. Graves Mountain is about an hour away from Charlottesville. The festival is free and will take place rain or shine. There will be horseback riding, hayrides, 70+ arts and crafts booths, rainbow trout, hamburgers and hot dogs, cloggers, raffles for prizes, musicians, and more. Bring your dog for the dog show, awards for best hair style, cutest trick, best costume, and overall best show. The wine tasting portion of the event is $6 in advance or $10 at the gate (Call 540-923-4231 to get tickets in advance.)
