Big Jim’s Closed

Not that I ever talked about Big Jim’s BBQ, but I don’t like to hear about any businesses closing. Big Jim’s is across the street from Best Buy and World Market next to the Adult Store. I ate lunch there one afternoon and it was okay, nothing to write home about but it wasn’t bad.

I guess it’s more of a Southern thing but I’m used to BBQ having different spicyness ratings…like Chinese food I guess, so I asked for the spicy BBQ sauce, the waitress looked at me like I was crazy. What she failed to mention was that the BBQ was premixed in the sauce, it reminded me of LLoyd’s BBQ from the grocery store except I paid $6 for a sandwich of it instead of a tub of it. I liked the hole in the wall atmosphere though and they had huge booths that you could fit 10 people into which I thought would be fun. I’m sad that they closed, I hope someone will take advantage of the open space so it’s not abandoned for long. (Photo Credit: The Hook)

What restaurant would you like to see go in there?
