Cinco De Mayo

It’s a little random that in the US we celebrate the Mexican army’s defeat of the French invaders. Today marks the 146th anniversary since the defeat. Cinco De Mayo is often confused with Mexico’s Independence Day, but that takes place on September 16th. Mono Loco is having Mezcla Extra Fuerte, a mariachi band playing tonight on their patio starting at 9:00, there will be drink specials all day.

I’ll be at El Puerto, I’m still disappointed that Guad beat them for Best of Cville. El Puerto is so friendly and fast and the spicy salsa makes it my favorite.
