Hot Air Balloon Ride

As I was riding in the car last week, on my way to work, I saw a hot air balloon in the Belmont area, it made me want to find out where to take a ride. Charlottesville has its own hot air balloon company, Monticello County Ballooning. You can take a hot air balloon ride any day of the week for $210 dollars per person, or $750-$800 dollars per couple. The trips can launch from several different locations around the Charlottesville area or private residences if the conditions are suitable. The balloons launch twice a day at sunrise or sunset. The balloons fly over Charlottesville from 500ft to 2,000 feet above the city.
I’ve been in a hot air balloon one time, but it was attached to a rope, so that’s not as cool as a normal hot air balloon ride. Have you ever ridden in a hot air balloon?

I believe you can also do it at Boars Head (or one of the country clubs in town).
