Massanutten Wine Festival this Weekend

Idea for your Memorial Day Weekend: This weekend Massanutten hosts the annual Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce ValleyFest with food and fun. The event will take place on Saturday from 11am-7pm, festival goers will get to sample some of the area’s best wines, beers, and microbrews. $20 admission covers the sampling and a souvenir glass. Music by Faded Image and Junk Food. It’s about an hour from Charlottesville, so not a bad drive for a day of activity. The Massanutten hotel and spa is also relatively inexpensive if you want to make a weekend of the get away.
There are so many activities to get into with the family. I like that they rent fishing equipment right at the resort too. You can rent a pole for $3 for a couple hours. There are also so many different classes to choose from so the resort can take the whole weekend.
