Orbit will become Boylan Heights

August 21st 2008 by Kelly in Announcements, Restaurant, Restaurant Opening

I don’t really understand the name Boylan Heights but I’m a fan more than the name The Joint. I wonder what people will call it for short.

Boylan Heights is an eclectic neighborhood in downtown Raleigh, NC. There is also a record by a Raleigh band, The Connells, with the same title.
Perhaps the new owner of the restaurant hails from Raleigh?

  2. Kelly Says:

I just called JR to ask him, but none of the guys are from Raleigh. John Adamson and Andrew Watson are both from Atlanta, GA and JR isn’t from Raleigh either. John Adamson does like the band The Connells and it was finally a name that the 3 could agree on, so it’s set…I think I’ll just call it The Heights. Abc is coming to check ‘em out today and then they’ll be premiering to Charlottesville next week!

What an interesting name for a neighborhood hangout. I would think the food will be great since it is from the Mellow guys. Can’t wait to check it out soon!

I was back in town for the USC debacle, and all my boys were calling it “NORBIT”. Great name–fits the place like a glove. Norbit it is.

  5. Caroline Says:

Yeah i’ve been trying to get people to call it Norbitz too. For New Orbitz. Works.
