Tailgating on the Lawn
September 5th 2008 by Kelly in Local News, UVA
Tailgating is banned from now on from the lawn. Did people really tailgate on the lawn before? Seems weird. Was it the graduates that live on the lawn and their friends or other people that come for the games? That would be a lot of work to carry a cooler out to the middle of the grounds and then back when you leave for the game. Saturday I was driving down Main Street on the way to the game and there was a lady waving people in to park across from the Hampton Inn for $10. That seems steep for how far away that is from the stadium.
Update: Nevermind, question answered, the lawn definitely used to be the place to tailgate. The students will have to find a new place for their pre-gaming.
