Pumpkin Spice Lattes

October 8th 2008 by Kelly in Charlottesville, Restaurant

I love Pumpkin Spice Lattes. I also like pumpkin muffins, pumpkin pie, and pumpkin seeds, so I like the fall when places sell their seasonal pumpkin coffee drinks. I couldn’t find anywhere in Charlottesville (besides Starbucks) that sold pumpkin spice lattes on Friday when I was looking for one, not JavaJava, Cville Coffee or La Taza. Today I found out that Splendora’s has one right now. I don’t like to support Starbucks just because I’d rather support a local coffee shop, so I’m happy to find out Splendora’s has a pumpkin spice latte this year.

What is your favorite fall drink?

Pumpkin spice lattes are the best! It’s a bummer though that the best one I’ve found is at Starbucks.

I’d have to agree. The one at Splendoras was just…weird. At first I thought I liked it and it had a good taste but it’s just too thick and too much cinnamon. It wasn’t horrible, but I’m not running back to spend $4 on a drink that was just okay.

I found another drink I love at Carter Mountain though, their apple cider is a great cold weather drink.
