The Miller Girls are done promoting in Charlottesville. Thursday nights you could typically find the Miller Lite girls handing out drink tickets at some of Charlottesville’s restaurants to promote Miller Lite. The girls, typically dressed in black, are no longer promoting the Miller brand in Charlottesville. Their jobs have been cut. Coors no longer wants to use Team Enterprises as their marketing company and has dropped the whole program. On facebook, Team Enterprises employs more than 500 girls, they also work branding Bacardi, SoBe, Dunkin Donuts, and Comcast cable, but the MillerCoors girls of Charlottesville have been dropped.

Ahhh, that’s too bad! Even though it was Miller Lite, you can’t complain about getting free beer. I won’t miss seeing those Miller girls though… they were just plain nasty.
Nasty is a harsh word. I think they’re just trying to figure out the best way to bring the marketing to the beer instead of focusing on the girls, although I did find some cities where they have renewed the contracts with Team. Virginia has a lot of laws on alcohol consumption though so I’m sure this had something to do with it. ABC is very prevalent on the corner and with downtown restaurants. We don’t have any bars, strip clubs, and food must account for a certain portion of restaurants profit, maybe the Miller girls were doing too good of a job marketing.
I think Charlottesville is just too small for them to spend the kind of money they must have been here promoting.
Guessing the theory was to get students loyal to a beer early on in their drinking careers, but with the economy going the way it is, maybe they moved on to larger college towns.
Also, the VA ABC is incredibly strict.

Not to worry funding was not cut and the Miller Lite girls will be back soon. Just needed to find a new leader for the team. Be patient and enjoy the great taste of Miller Lite.

Thanks for the update HM and Mr Miller Lite, I had talked to 2 of the Miller Lite girls in Charlottesville that passed along the info…good to know they’ll still be around. I have 2 friends that worked with Team and both stated that their jobs with Miller Lite were over because the program was changing. Thanks for the update!
