Para Coffee

Para Coffee on Elliewood is open. The shop is at the end of Elliewood next to Zydeco and across the street from Biltmore. Maximum capacity for the little coffee spot is 45 but the cozy space makes the best of the small location and it seems spacious inside. There are clusters of armed chairs and couches, perfect place to find a nook to study or read the paper or a magazine that they have out on the tables throughout the shop. Starbucks is still around the corner, but if you’re craving a Spudnuts donut or some Shenandoah coffee, Para has it covered. They pick up fresh donuts from Spudnuts every morning.
Will it work having a coffee shop around the corner from Starbucks? Will the students support a local coffee shop before they will visit Starbucks?

The place looks great and what a brilliant idea! I want someone to carry spudnuts donuts on the downtown mall!! Jealous!

It does look like a great idea but probably not for students. With the exception of a few students, I think most 18-22 year old students look to get their coffee craving from starbucks.
Sad, but true!

I’m going here tomorrow and I can’t wait. It looks like they did a fantastic job remodeling.

Coffee is great and so is the place! Competition helps you be better! And Para is better! It’s local, run by locals, using local roast beans. It is community! Music is good too. Friends meet here.
