A House for A Dog

by Kelly on November 24, 2008

People love to be able to bring their dog with them everywhere they go, one of the perks of working at Cloudbrain is that I can bring my dog to work. We have a mixture in the office, I have yorkie, Daniel has a Great Dane, Chad has a chow, Amy has a lab, Callie is dogless but she brings treats. This morning I read a story about a woman that took her love of her 2 Great Danes to a little bit of an extreme.

The owner is designing a 1.4 million dollar home around her 2 dogs. There will be retina scans to allow the dogs into the house and also monitor their movements in the house over the internet. Some of the features that are being built into the house will allow her to be able to leave the great danes while she goes out of town. There will be self cleaning and dispencing water and food bowls, spa bath, and internet controlled climate. More about the interesting home and the original article here.

Did she go overboard? Do you go overboard with how you treat your pet?

I cook my dog his own steak if I’m grilling, but that’s about as far as it goes.

I wonder what her house is like.

it all sounds very normal. except the retina scan. that sounds just a little excessive.
