Last night I went to watch West Side Story at Bel Rio. On Monday nights they’ve been showing movies with a projector. The lighting got better as it got dark outside, before that you couldn’t see the movie very well. There were a handful of other girls there (since the game was on it was a light crowd.) It was the first time I’ve tried Bel Rio’s food and I was pretty impressed. The most variety is shown in their appetizer menu they have a little Japanese, American and Spanish, the rest of the menu is more consistent with Spanish food.
I tried the Nopales Gordita. It was like 2 soft shelled tacos with a tasty filling. The fillings included cabbage, corn and guacamole. It was a good size for dinner and it came with fries. The fries were cooked just right. They’re thick and just the right crunchiness. All of the bottles of red wine were reasonably priced around $22.
