Yesterday in the Washington Post, Derik Kravitz, reported that ex-homeowners are not willing to leave their former home. Hidden places in the home such as attic space and tool sheds are being used by former homeowners to evade police that are coming to vacate the home. Kravitz reported that some former owners “illegally remain in homes after they have lost them to the bank and some are setting booby traps to ward off police.” Full article here.
It’s not just homeowners that are having to vacate property. Renters that have stopped paying landlords are also being required to vacate.
