I drive by La Michoacana everyday on my way to and home from work. It’s easy to miss if you don’t know where it is, it shares a roof with the Merry Maids. The Mexican Restaurant is on your left on East High Street coming toward downtown, you’ll see it right after you pass the Joy gas station. It’s a great place to get a fast lunch or dinner. It’s cash only. I had heard that it was a grocery store too, but along with a few specialty mexican food items, the only items the store carries are soda, candy, ice cream, and peanuts.
There are a handful of items on the La Michoacana menu and your food is made when you order and ready very quickly. I got the chicken quesidilla and my friend got 3 tacos. As we watched other people get their food orders I would definitely like to try the burrito next time. The quesdilla was $6 the tacos were $2 per taco, the burrito was also $6.
