Boylan Heights now serves brunch from 11am-3pm on Sundays. I’m going to go ahead and let you know that it’s the best brunch in Charlottesville. I could be slightly biased, but I really don’t think any other breakfast/brunch place compares. The brunch menu is only available on Sunday. They have the normal stuff like build your own omlet and then things get more creative, I recommend selecting one of their creations on the menu. I went with my family, everyone got something different and we shared, there wasn’t anything that we got, out of 10 of us, that didn’t impress me. If you’re a bloody mary fan, make sure not to miss out on their version of the drink, but be ready for the very spicy kick.
I couldn’t have eaten a whole breakfast of it, but the Biscuits and Gravy were eaten by the table in 2 seconds. Even if you don’t get an entree of it, ask for biscuits to start, with some gravy, so worth it. Another favorite was a burger with bacon and egg on an English muffin with chipotle hollandaise sauce, it came with cheesy hash-browns. We split the french toast for dessert. The toast is crusted with captain crunch and topped with bananas, it was the best french toast I’ve ever tasted. Even though I’m not much of a breakfast food girl, Kelley Tripp, the Boylan Chef, has changed my mind. I’ll be back next Sunday.
