Even though the official Lighting of the Charlottesville Downtown Mall Christmas Tree doesn’t happen until the 20th of this month, today the tree went up and the lights and ornaments are being hung.
Tonight at the IX is the annual “Raucous Auction,” featuring both live and silent auctions. There will be art prints, autographed books, broadsides, class discounts, etching and letterpress works, wine and hors d’oeuvres. A $5 donation or purchase is suggested and the fundraising will benefit the VABC, a program of the VFH Center for the book and Virginia’s only public printing studio and book arts collaborative.
