Christmas in Charlottesville

Claybrooke Farms:  Cut down your own Christmas Tree!  45 minutes outside of Charlottesville.  Pick from Canaan fir, Douglas fir, Norway sprice, and White pine.  There is an indoor Christmas shop with handmade wreathes and crafts along with an indoor restroom. The tree price includes services such as shaking, wrapping and loading your tree and they offer hot cider.  You ride out to the trees on a wagon.  They provide a bow saw for harvesting your tree (no chainsaws allowed).  Santa will be at the farm Sunday Dec 13th (bring your own camera).  Hours: 1-5 Friday and 10-5 Saturdays and Sundays.

Bristol Motor Speedway: 2 million lights spaning a 4.5 mile route.  Opens nightly at 6pm  More information: 423-989-6900  There is also an Ice Rink

Oak Ridge Estate: Holiday Light Driving Tour, beginning Dec 20th, $5 per carload, $20 per bus load

Monticello Holiday Evening Tours: $45 per person, 5:45 pm daily between December 12-22nd.  Online Tickets.
