Home for the Holidays

Still a foot of snow at my house.  I’ve been in Georgia with my family for the week and have enjoyed not being in the snow.  Parking downtown is still hard since all the snow is just pushed in a pile along buildings and the curb, where people usually can park.

It seemed like Christmas flew by.  My mom cooked a bunch of great food and my whole family made it home for Christmas.  It was great.  One of the best gifts this Christmas was Catch Phrase.  We played girls against boys, girls won of course.  It’s a fun game, makes you think.  One of the points that the girls lost on was “Finger in the Pie,” I had no idea how to act this out or give clues.

I went to see “Up in the Air,” while I was home, and I don’t recommend it.  It’s kind of dark.  I guess I should have known since one of George Clooney’s last movie’s Syriana wasn’t a romantic comedy like his typical acting choices.  George Clooney’s job is to fire people for companies and he enjoys being home for the fewest days a year possible.  There was a couple points during the movie that I laughed out loud, but it’s not a movie where you feel good after seeing it.  So, you’re warned, it’s not a good one.
